Nimbin Integrated Services - Dual dianoses clinical service. Now in its 8th year, the Northern Rivers Local Health District continues to fund the Nurse Practitioner position and the Department of Health and Ageing (Federal) is currently providing funds to NNIC to provide accommodation, reception, on site supervision, and connections to our in-house services and referral networks for the service. Death and Beyond -  a local group formed to work on issues relating to the understanding and support of dignified processes of death and dying. Nimbin Day of the Dead was hekld in Novemer 2015 where the Community Book of the Dead was launched to preserve with integrity our community history and honour community members when they pass on, in perpetuity. Best friend/Next of Kin register - NNIC has a register for people who are sleeping rough or of no fixed address where they can leave a name or names and details of any people they would like us to contact in the unfortunate event of their death. Drop into NNIC and ask to see a Community Worker to add your contact/s to the register.
